Scottdale, PA Sesquicentennial Committee Mission / Vision

Mission: To lead our town in a yearlong celebration of Scottdale’s sesquicentennial that commemorates our town’s rich past; honors the achievements of its people; and creates engaging opportunities for residents and visitors.

 

Vision: The aim of this year-long anniversary celebration is to build greater understanding and appreciation for Scottdale’s past and excitement for its future. 

 

To accomplish its mission, the 150th committee will:

  • Collaborate with community partners to create inspiring events and programs inclusive to all Scottdale residents and visitors
  • Involve local students in exciting and commemorative educational opportunities
  • Spotlight Scottdale culture, music, and art, both past and present
  • Support and encourage all of our town’s nonprofits, merchants, restaurants, etc to take advantage of this rare opportunity to educate the public about their missions and products, in the spirit of the anniversary.

Historical Society meetings are held the second Tuesday of each month and start at 6:30 p.m.  If you have interest in attending, please email us.

 

Paint Donations!

We are seeking donations for exterior paint and supplies.  Click Here for more details on how you can help!

 

We are seeking volunteers to help with:

  • Exterior painting and maintenance
  • Event planning and assistance
  • Interior housekeeping
